SUMMER 2021 – SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SUMMER CAMPS
This past year and a half of pandemic, and Operation ‘Guardian of the Walls’ which affected the entire country in May, have left behind a significant number of traumatized children, often from extremely disadvantaged families.
As every year, FSJU Israel mobilizes to provide holidays for Israeli and French-Israeli children by funding holiday scholarships so that they can participate in Mahanot, forget their daily lives, escape, and rediscover carefree joy and smiles.
No childcare facilities for children in August in Israel!
As every year, FSJU Israel offers holiday scholarships so that Israeli children, including dual nationals, can participate in Mahanot, forget their daily lives, escape, and rediscover carefree joy and smiles.
Two wonderful locations:
In the North, a magical summer camp, an enchanting place with Israel Experience Ilanit Corchia FSJU Israel.
And in the South, in Sderot with the project “Boston Sderot”, which FSJU Israel has supported for the third consecutive year;
A mahane for the children of Sderot, led by American madrihim who follow and support them throughout the year, and also teach them English!
Two weeks away from the sirens, full of laughter, friendship, and peace.
Thanks to the support of FSJU Israel, 65 children from Sderot experienced a “normal” summer after a challenging year.
The program includes: English classes led by American volunteers, educational and sports activities, music, swimming, academic support, and various workshops (hip-hop, zumba, visual arts, basketball, etc.).
A breath of fresh air to help them rebuild.
We wish them a wonderful holiday and a peaceful return to school.
