Founded in 1950, the FSJU is the central institution of the French Jewish community in the fields of social welfare, education, and culture. For more than 70 years, it has worked to strengthen the bond between French Jews and Israel, placing solidarity, youth, and heritage at the heart of its mission.
In 2006, it opened a branch in Israel, which became an Israeli non-profit organization (Amuta FSJU Israel) in 2016.

Building connections, acting for all.
Solidarity. Heritage. Responsibility.

Our social action
For 20 years, FSJU Israel has been fighting poverty and exclusion by funding social, cultural, and educational programs. Placing solidarity at the heart of its mission, it partners with leading organizations that address poverty and education on the ground.

Our partnerships
FSJU Israel plays a vital role in supporting, developing, and initiating innovative programs on the ground, in collaboration with local, community, and institutional partners. These efforts address the needs of the marginalized, families, youth, the elderly, Holocaust survivors, people with disabilities, and, since October 7, those affected by war.

International Relations
Alongside major international Jewish institutions in Israel, FSJU Israel works with numerous partners, including the JCC, the OSM, the IJC, OLAM, and French diplomatic bodies (Consulate, Embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
